Is it possible to synchronize a web form with Excel worksheet?

Good afternoon.

There is a calculator (a very large calculator) in the Excel spreadsheet. Lots of data, lots of formulas multiple worksheets with tables for calculations etc. But the input data for the calculation are not so many - about 7-8.

Needed a calculator to overtake in the web page to use not only the owners table, but anyone from the Internet.

To distill all the data, formulas, calculations from Excel somewhere in MySQL and PHP algorithms - a very long process, and costly in terms of development.

Is it possible to make a simple html page with a web form where people would put in the original data, they would go in the appropriate cells in the Excel table, and then from the resulting cell with the result of the calculation went back to the html page.

If this is possible, prompt, please, where to dig?

There is a library for this, oddly enough it is called phpExcel. You take data from the user input, substituting the cell and make getCalcultaedValue() to specific cells. The formulas are handled, not sure about the current status, but previously worked.
But! Better to translate to php
