What kind of light OS for the nas server to choose?

Good day!
Not long ago there was a task to make a nas server with access to it from outside the local network.
But the problem is that it must be done on old hardware. In the presence of only 1GB operatives, processor 32bit, used 1 hard drive 80GB.

Times cagnoli, how always bring my IMHO :)
On all your NAS have always used CentOS without any ready-made assemblies, etc. clean OS from a NFS server.
This is enough for multimedia for TV+rtorrent with a web muzzle for downloading serialchikov and the network drive for Windows.
And so, in principle, any Linux with NFS I will fit, but CentOS just everywhere and I see no reason to multiply entities.
