How to get around the CORS client-side?

The actual problem:
https://codepen.io/birdie.Schmitt/pen/arePaG

The browser console error appears
Access to XMLHttpRequest at 'https://vod-secure.twitch.tv/c637cb4e408bbbefaba4_...' from origin 'https://s.codepen.io' has been blocked by CORS policy: No 'Access-Control-Allow-Origin' header is present on the requested resource.

How can you get around without having to proxy through your server?

Solution
And where is VLC? This is a separate application. There may not be (most likely) check CORS, because it is relevant only in the browser.

Browser, respectively, you need to create a browser extension with access rights to the desired sites, it will be able to ignore CORS, having such rights. As a regular tab cannot simply refer to other sites in other locations.
