How to use FLEXBOX to make the center vertical blocks, BUT the same height?

Friends, pamagiti!! :))
Like a simple task, but can't catch how to solve.

How flexbox to vertically align the center of the blocks, but make them both the same height, it is necessary for that pattern in one of the blocks to press towards the top. I can't do this.
Here on codepin layout made example as it is now https://codepen.io/Cheizer/pen/BYNOJv

And here's the screenshots as of now

You can do like so
Thank you very much, I also now dig, put the blocks, too, that the same happened, BUT if you add a couple of paragraphs of text, get some sort of Well again. The upper part of the content invisible. Try to copy two times a paragraph of text. Why is it so? I have the same. :( - jordan_Schmi commented on June 8th 19 at 17:21
