Macos standard mechanism to operate the window suit you?

I'm not comfortable with the split screen two apps. Full-screen mode as done, why would I get out of it to minimize the application. There are other ways to work with Windows, as in Windows/Linux?

there is an AppleScript, you can write the script work with the ui, in your case, to exit full screen and minimize to the Dock. Hang on to this script is a combination of keys convenient to you. It is more than flexible and writing and debugging takes more time than writing a question on the form and search for tullinge.

Standard solutions quickly become complicated if they are not oversaturate requested feature. Full screen mode in osx is the new desktop, if you try to roll - you will see nothing except your screen saver, learn to operate on desktops is much easier and more productive than minimize Windows to the dock.

Do not use the split screen.

Convenient multiple desktops on each monitor, and swiping three fingers between them.
Instead of a mouse/trackball long only use the Magic Trackpad, so finger gestures are preferred.
