How to get Websocket to work on HTTPS?

Hello.
Please help me to understand. Studying the subject, confused.

Set node.js launched the server. Connect via new WebSocket("ws://Hrserver:Port");
If SSL is disabled (that is, the site on http) all works great
If you include SSL and changing a connection to WebSocket("wss://Hrserver:Port") - get error.

Why is everyone trying to put SSL in the app? Use proxy through nginx and taxi certificates there.
Please tell us more about how the proxy will solve the problem with ssl? Or share the material, if any - harr commented on April 4th 20 at 00:42
@harr, put ssl on the webserver, it does. Proxy your https traffic to the application that just works over http.
Here is a googled example of a quick (and not to mention correctly)
