How to calculate a fair average number given the volume?

I have 88 apples for the price of 10 rubles and 12 apples for the price of 5 rubles. How to calculate the average price taking into account the amount of each party apples? Or I invent something and the average number will always be the same ((88 × 10) + (12 × 5)) ÷ 100 = 9.4?

are you talking about weighted average price
That is the formula I wrote (not knowing the formula of the average prices and what it is) is correct? And more objective calculation is not? - Tomasa.Von commented on April 4th 20 at 00:49
