Display background-image in mobile Safari?

The problem is:
In the mobile version of safari does not display the images added via css property background-image.
The standard unit used by such properties:

background-image: url(*proper*link);
background-position: 50% 50%;
background-size: contain;
background-repeat: no-repeat;

Works everywhere but Safari not. How to fix?

Try using background: instead of background-image:. And generally very strange bug. Maybe something wrong elsewhere? The correct path to the image? Cache clean? Check because it should work.

You have connected the WebP image. Safari does not support this resolution. Need or using jpg/png, or to write a script for webp.
