How to enter data into the database through Wordpress?

There is a database on a server running Ubuntu and Apache2, in which previously entered data using MS Access. Now the task is to make the web-interface. Direct to the server freewheeling CMS Wordpress due to lack of knowledge. Is it possible to somehow query the two tables (in which the common table Personnel Number) enter the data through the Wordpress page? Or are there any other options easier.

Wordpress Is a content management system. Its task is to abstract you from the DB. And it requires some structure for yourself.
You can certainly do what you need on Wordpress, but this is how to hammer nails with a drill.

If you need a simple interface to manage — easier to do something different.
Form, some styles a little JS to zaprosov to the server and PHP API for retrieving commands and work with databases.

The simplest interface is phpMyAdmin.
