How to rewrite the query without group by?

SELECT customers.id, customers.`full_name`, orders.id, stores.id
FROM customers
LEFT JOIN orders ON orders.`customer_id` = customers.id
LEFT JOIN stores ON stores.`id` = orders.`store_id`
GROUP BY customers.id

The relationship between customers and orders is one to many.
I need a LEFT JOIN to pick up only the first orders
What is the most appropriate(efficient) option to do this?
