What do you think about UWP?

The question "steal" from the Ukrainian colleagues, I want to know the answers of colleagues from the CIS !

I am developing on Xamarin.Forms, who know he knows what to write under iOS\Android\Windows store, so we are even in the project is not connected UWP that he would not even hung in the "soloxine" because he has no orders, all give IN to Apple and Buckets. What is the reason ? As for me, the Mature thing, "ten" (not WHA) is quite a decent system, the UWP is decent, okay Winton not soared, but there tablets, PC and Hollins on the horizon ! We have NEW projects for WPF, and the UWP is not (there is certainly clear that if support Win7 then WPF is the only option, but still this last century, I believe that the UWP future but so far very quiet and no one heard).

One of you is engaged in the development of UWP ? What are your impressions ?

PS: I like UWP (at first glance), but it's not like business !

Solution
Another dead technology from Microsoft.
A firm that can afford to poke market in different places - maybe somewhere to shoot. It is a lot like good products and all of the crap that has gone or just going.
This is the list of "losers" can be safely written J#, XNA, Silverlight, WinRT, and more.

The idea that for UWP — future, was based solely on the assumption that the market will win mobile phones and tablets on the Windows.
Alas, not subdued. And this is unlikely to happen.
In this regard, the UWP, as a "universal" platform is not relevant.
But for desktop use I agree with the colleagues above, any advantage regarding WPF no.
