How to do a redirect from http to https on the website without WP .htaccess?

Enough for a correct redirect, replace http to https in the admin area of the WP website and more not to touch anything? Or need to do a redirect using ngnix and in the admin area of the site not to change anything? The certificate is already configured.

Solution
Can be done via nginx. And in the Admin to change the home site. It is also advisable to change all links to https.
And the problem with circular redirection will not occur if a redirect to do this and using nginx and change in the admin of the site address from http to https? - jackie.Goldner commented on April 19th 20 at 12:16
@jackie.Goldner, and why it should occur? - Geovany.Simonis54 commented on April 19th 20 at 12:19
@Geovany.Simonis54, Well, the cycle will be a redirect that goes through the website and via ngnix. - jackie.Goldner commented on April 19th 20 at 12:22
@jackie.Goldner, nothing happen, the web server processes the redirect and no one else - Geovany.Simonis54 commented on April 19th 20 at 12:25
@Geovany.Simonis54, that is, I first need to add a redirect in ngnix, and then edit in the admin site url from http to https, am I right? - jackie.Goldner commented on April 19th 20 at 12:28
@jackie.Goldner, if https is already working, first in the admin https we do, then custom links on the website on https, then redirect - Geovany.Simonis54 commented on April 19th 20 at 12:31
@Geovany.Simonis54, the site is empty, recently installed. And if you do not do a redirect (since the site is new), just change in admin interface to https did not happen? Or some may write in the search with http and will not get to the site, right? - jackie.Goldner commented on April 19th 20 at 12:34
@jackie.Goldner, redirect need a how not cool, and https is needed in the admin area, that's the whole installation - Geovany.Simonis54 commented on April 19th 20 at 12:37
@Geovany.Simonis54, got it, thanks. However I have an empty folder at /home/user1/conf/web, where there should be a file ngnix settings. Me to create? There is such a path to the main ngnix config: /etc/nginx/nginx.conf, but as I understand it, there is no need to touch it once again, as this is the main config. - jackie.Goldner commented on April 19th 20 at 12:40
@jackie.Goldner, /etc/nginx/conf.d see - Geovany.Simonis54 commented on April 19th 20 at 12:43
@Geovany.Simonis54also no such file. - jackie.Goldner commented on April 19th 20 at 12:46
@jackie.Goldner, see how do you set up nginx, I do not Wang to tell where you have configs - Geovany.Simonis54 commented on April 19th 20 at 12:49
@Geovany.Simonis54, I was given a vps with a ready-made configuration file ubuntu and vestacp. Nothing from the files have not been edited. - jackie.Goldner commented on April 19th 20 at 12:52
@jackie.Goldner, then tell me how is configured in vestacp, with 0 easier - Geovany.Simonis54 commented on April 19th 20 at 12:55
