Cms or framework?

Good day. Want to know Your opinion on the following question. I went on a course a backend PHP development in particular focusing on laravel. Rather, first asked what we will focus, some kind of CMS or framework. All chose laravel and I think it's the right decision.

The structure of the framework and how everything is implemented, I like it. The course is not yet over and I started to look for work.
