Monitor goes off after 10 seconds of turning on the PC, what could be the problem?

While working on the PC, heard a loud Bang. Not giving it much importance and continued their business. After 20 minutes the image on the monitor freezes, then after a second becomes completely white and completely disappears. Rebooted the PC, the image is there, but when there is a logo of loading Windows the monitor goes out. Buttons the monitor is working and you receive the menu of monitor settings (brightness, language, etc.), the cursor is not. All the fans are spinning. What could be the problem?

Cotton is perhaps with swollen capacitor cap flew off.
Once the buttons on the monitor work and the internal menu is displayed, then there is no signal from the graphics card. Check the video card, the motherboard, the power supply of the computer. Inspect them visually (with the power supply, remove the lid, if it is not under warranty), you might notice a darkening or dead/swollen capacitor. If you don't find anything yourself, or are simply afraid to do it, then carry the system unit in for repair.
