I want to make a shooting range. How to register a hit?

Want to create a range for shooting from the pneumatic weapon and have a desire somehow to register a hit. I.e. I need some kind of conditional "sensor", which will be able to do it. Nothing comes to mind, but if understanding that it should be something like a resistive screen (like on old smartphones), but many times stronger, as it should withstand a hit of some Mr-512 aka "Murka" (energy shot 7.5 j).

Any ideas?

a web camera and OpenCV
I would like a more simple and less bulky solution. I want to contact to enroll herself a target. Seen solutions based on MICS, but it looks quite difficult to implement. - wilfredo.Schuppe commented on June 14th 19 at 19:20

Maybe something here will find a suitable www.findpatent.ru/catalog/6518

because the camera and OpenCV already offered.
will offer a little more simple variant: a set of microphones and on the PERC algorithm, which shifts in time between the coming signals click bullets on the stand, calculate mesopotania.
the analog part of the circuit will be rather simple amplifier and a comparator.
minimum enough three microflow, but increasing the number can improve the accuracy and plus will be able to weed out left-wing sounds.
the problem is not rare, so you can look for ready-made solutions.

Well, the simplest solution in the form of a classical matrix of buttons with diodes. Buttons to cover metal areas.
Minus: the caps will get stuck between the pads
And the attack is very short can be a problem with the capture. Yes and a lot of mechanics will hemoroidy service.

Not electronics, but I think this:
in one row on a thin plywood are a small target banks, for example. In each Bank - the magnet under the glass and thin plywood too. In contact with magnets ofmagnitude from each other, and the one under it falls on the button 10х10см (in order to account for scatter). With button, I think everybody understood that.

Option stupid, no doubt, but it may help to think of a more good.
