If there is index.php whether indexed index.html?

There is a folder on the website with two versions of the page index.php and index.html. Priority offer index.php. I wonder whether the robot to index the html, because the links to get there, he could not.

If You didn't register the reference to this file, for example, in sitemap.xml, it is unlikely that any search engine would waste their resources looking for files, which is theoretically the server. According to this, with a probability of 99% we can say that it will not be indexed (even if the search engine somehow miraculously found out that there is such a file as "index.html" hardly would he to raise it on the basis of those considerations that the user links are still not able to get there).

Resp., if You want it indexed - you need to add a link to it (somewhere), and if you want to be sure that the file will not appear in the index - can block access to it in the file robots.txt
