How to track openings?

The task seemed simple.
To pull my script to read a letter.
I just need to know that the user has read the letter.
And I even know that in most cases the user will read the emails in Outlook.

Obvious at first glance, the solution to insert pictures with the meter was not working.
Default Outlook does not download images by URL.
This need to separately enable it in the options.

Googled the mentioning of the headers Disposition-Notification-To and X-Confirm-Reading-To, but they require a separate email and server access for reading emails. In General, it is not very usability and not reliable.

Maybe someone knows of an adequate, working solution?

PS: Google says that there is no solution, but maybe I'm bad looking.

Is not so simple. Standard mechanisms is not - is simply not provided. The fact of delivery in a box you can catch via sieve on the server. But the fact of the opening to catch the local crutches - for example, your plug-in for Outlook. Yes, to put it will have more to Casper screaming. For TB it is necessary to raise the developer's documentation - there might be a handler.
and the pixel to embed? - Dereck.Metz commented on June 14th 19 at 20:28
, TB by default blocks the downloading of images in emails. In addition, a solid corporate programs like Lotus Notes stupidly cut all, leaving the bare text is not so difficult. There are many mechanisms to do with the letter anything before entering it in the box - Esta_Upton commented on June 14th 19 at 20:31
In this case, you need to know the target audience before choosing the method of implementing Analytics. - Dereck.Metz commented on June 14th 19 at 20:34
