What you need to learn how to put a layout on WordPress without going into php?

In trying to approach WP in order to expand the range of services rendered by me, I was faced with the problem of lack of clear understanding of what I need to achieve the goal.

To be precise, after two days of action on unfinished courses on YouTube, reading an informational or introductory articles on all the forums and other kinds of tutorials that offer only "install of WP and quick to put a layout (albeit crooked), I'm a little confused.

The rational for me the solution was to go to the toaster, to ask advice from those who have been in the subject and finally learn how really things are. Namely, is there an adequate idea without a good knowledge of php (so that there is a good, high syntax, and experience in other YAP), try to get into WP with the aim to learn how to perform common desire of customers to "pull layout" ? If the answer is Yes, then how to learn the necessary information where it can be found in a structured way? Sorry that last question. Thank you.

if all the functionality is there and works correctly, particular knowledge of php to replace html in the templates is not necessary, say, if you just redesign
another thing, if you want to display data from the modules, then Yes, php, sql, and other delights
I will try to specify at this stage I am interested in setting WP at least in order for the client to add some content to the site. and of course, so the layout is built dynamically, also retaining the ability to edit it from the admin
upd: what are my chances without php in this case? - Beulah_Lindgren commented on June 14th 19 at 20:43
you need to install the hurdy-gurdy and try how it works, how to configure existing modules and add new as is added, and displays the content

take a couple of free themes and put them, read how to make these threads to try to make changes to them, save as his theme, and so on - all options are good
in General, limit yourself at first, it was such a minimal approach and learn all you can learn

in fact - the theme is html + css + javascript, and if you are satisfied with everything issued from the database in the form of articles, navigation and other content, all your work is only in the presence of the template and replace it in the html of the new layout, well, uploading the new css and js files and images

only then to seek, analyze and to try to do, no other choice
along the way you get used to the syntax of php and will understand what is happening there, and maybe you will understand how to display the content from WP database - Pedro65 commented on June 14th 19 at 20:46

Do not look for easy ways.
If for yourself, you better use something more or less ready. If for work, then learn PHP and template engine.
Aw it's kind of hard, judging by the exchanges, without CMS coder to be interrupted. Hence, a desire - Beulah_Lindgren commented on June 14th 19 at 20:45
And what do you want? Start with Modx, it's easier. - Pedro65 commented on June 14th 19 at 20:48

Make-up under WordPress without PHP knowledge is fantastic. At least, you will have to combine PHP with HTML in templates and to figure out how to print any of the standard data field. At a more advanced level you will create custom page types with the right fields and display them on the page. So you will be able to cover almost any whim of the client.
